Many african american's advocate reparations for things that have been done to them in the past. I have a question:
Why not go to the world court in The Hague, Netherlands and slap a law suit on all of the West African countries (where the slaves came from) and sue them for selling slaves to the white man? The notion that whites just came to Africa and loaded up slaves against their will is not exactly true. Whites purchased black slaves from black tribes. This is true.
Slavery had existed in Africa long before the white man came there. The slaves that came to America where first enslaved by enemy tribes that defeated weaker tribes for their land/resources, just like what most wars are fought over. Unfortunately, losing black tribes were treated like commodities. So to blame the British, the Dutch, French etc is only HALF the story. The other half of the slave story is that stronger black tribes sold the losing tribes men and women to the white man. And the rest is history. So how about suing WEST AFRICA?
