Its a little more complicated than that, but I understand your point. The GOP is quite underhanded and can't be trusted. Too bad Steele didn't run as an Independent like Lieberman.
Blackmon you are absolutely right. Republican-inspired war, racism, torture, human rights abuses, dirty politics, hubris and hegemony trumps the petty local ego issues brought up by Curry and co. They should be ashamed, but thankfully the people could see right through the Republican plot to hold onto power. I say we vote out the bums who sold-out to the Republicans including many Black clergy. Here is a list of the Dems in Prince George's County who went Republican:

This vote is so much bigger than the petty issues prefaced by Wayne Curry and the other Democrats in office. We should vote them out right along with Michael Steele. Michael Steel is going to be another Condi, Clarence, Colin, etc. What a shame. If we give the Republicans more power than they already have, we deserve every misery that comes from it!
