The DC office of personell is so disorganized that its difficult for qualified people to work for the DC government. Have you ever looked at the vacancy announcements. Mispelled words etc.
Your frustration is understood by millions of americans, as jobs are being shipped to abroad daily. Our goverment has been hijacked and no longer serve the will of the people, but have worked tirelessly to eliminate the middle class. An Obama white house would put the people back in charge and create opportunities for all americans to prosper. In the meantime those H1B workers will be hungry after a long days work. A middle eastern food resturant might not be a bad venture. Wish you luck. p387
I'm a 27-year resident of the District of Columbia, and have recently applied for several positions at the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, an agency of the D.C. government. I have 24 years of experience in IT and many, many years of IT management experience. I am also a certified Project Management Professional.
I really want to help improve the IT infrastructure of my city, but so far no job. It appears that the District Government is hiring H1B visa technology workers. Is this true? If it is, what can be done about it?
Being locked out of my own city is quite frustrating.
