As a white male, I find his show refreshing because he enlightens me from the black perspective; how they think and more importantly, their experience in America. This is important if we as a nation will truly begin our healing. Mostly likel, you guys were probably being conscientiously stupid...I listen to the callers  that Mr. Madison confronts and he listens intently to the comments which most of you guys (white males) makes, shows what little you know about the issue as it relates to his audience, the African American community...second, anyone who calls into a radio show and wants to argue with a person with a mic, must be stupid...the host always controls the narrative...Rather than whine, open up your mind and embrace the changing demographics...there is nothing to fear but the fear itself, especially when we have that innate hatred within ourselves that we cannot overcome...

You love Mr Williams because he allow people to come on his show and say any thing.   Like the day Dr Ben Carson was on there.   He clearly lied and not once did he correct him.

You can forget about replacing Joe Madison. He has a style all his own and, yes, he doesn't always put it where the goats can get it, right away, because call ins are not always prepared in what they want to say or they speak on issues or makes statements that are not true. And on these air ways he will not allow misinformation. He's that old dude that is respected for his wisdom. Be patient. If you listen with the third eye and third ear, you will learn come to appreciate him and realize he is irreplaceable. He's my Professor and my black leader. School starts at 6 am pacific time. Don't be late.

But we didn't call in to Howard Stein.  We called Joe Madison.

I don't listen to him anymore, I found myself angry when I arrived at my office each morning after listening to his show. I was not angry at the topics but the way he talked to people who called in, the nasty demeanor and approach he takes with people is bad. I listen to channel 127 and 121 insight and the white host don't demean or talk nasty to people who disagree with them. Joe's approach is it is ok to talk to mostly black people in that manner. I have seen him debate others on TV and other radio shows and he is not nasty with the mainly white people he interviews with. He claims to have he best research staff but they are often incorrect on the facts that they put out there on the air waves. We just need a different option in the morning from the black listener point of view. Dr. Wilmer Leon would be an excellent choice on insight 121 at the same time as Joe Maddison. If that happened there would be a mass exodus of intelligent people not listening to Joe.  

Racism does not mean prejudice with power.  No where in the definition does it mean prejudice with power.  It means the following from Meririam-Webster also known as the dictionary:

  We listen to the black jackass at work. We treat it like the comedy channel. I like watching people becoming infuriated as they listen. People always wonder where I dug him up. I say this is the God Black talk radio. They worship him for what they call intelligence. They thank him for what he does.Their relationship with him is kinda like the battered wife that keeps coming back for more. He assumes that every black person that calls is willing to be battered by his arrogance just to get a small nugget of his superior to all intellect. You can sum him up in one word  "A$$HOLE"!!!!!

I absolutely agree with your comments. I think Joe has forgotten that without his audience aka subscribers are the most important component to SirusXM overall success.

I just cancelled my renewal which was going to cost me almost $300.

If am a willing to pay for services which can be heard free, I expect to be treated with respect.

SirusXM has allowed this disrespect, thus they are condoning this behavior.

Like Joe says what are you going to do about it. I cancelled my subscription and let them know why.

Madison is nothing more than a schill for the democrat party.  He claims he is apolitical but he gets his talking points right from the DNC. I"ve notice this time and time again.  When someone gets the better of him and that's not often because he cuts them off quickly, he calls them stupid.  I mean stupid?!?!? I cannot stand Joe Madison. I thought he was okay when I saw him a few times on Al Sharpton's show. But I found his radio show on Sirius and thought I would listnen...bad mistake. He is rude, arrogant and down right nasty sometimes ....and for no good reason. I kept asking myself, why does anyone listen to this jerk. Mark Thompson is much better in terms of letting people talk and listening to their viewpoint even if he doesn't agree. One morning Joe was lecturing a person on etiquette simply because the guy said he had called before. I thought, what a moron. I listened twice..that's all I could take.

Rude is more than an opinion.  Surely one knows it when one sees it.  Joe Madison talks over people if they disagree with him; he calls them names--and his weak-voiced wife chimes in with some pathetic support. 

Maybe you are not listening to the same Joe Madison--or you wish to show some unquestioning support--which is the only type of discussion he permits.  To say that they are intelligent doesn't address what people are talking about at all.  They may be intelligent--but they do not display the type of open and receptive tone that would invite persons to learn.

It's sad when the only thing a person can say is that he is not rude.  Pitiful.

The man has no patience, I feel so for his wife Sherri and wondered how she puts up with him.  He cuts people off and shows no compassion to people - he needs people skills, people by nature are sensitive and he could care less.  I like Al Sharpton and that is the only reason for now that I am keeping Sirrus XM.

What one person thinks is rude another doesn't.   Regardless of that, Joe and his wife are intelligent people and are not one sided.   He will give you an opportunity to state your point.   They just don't want you trying to dish out any nonsense or baseless statements as fact.   They want facts and where you aquired your facts.    They will take calls from both points of view unlike other talk shows.   If you listen to enough talk shows that right wing and left wing, you will see who accepts various points of view and who does not.

I totally agree. Joe has some great topics on his show but I have stopped listening because he is so rude to the callers. I can't take it. Why have callers if all you want to do is bully and belittle. Everyone has a point of view.
