Madison talked about how Putin called out a billionaire who was taking advantage of people. He said Obama should do the same although"that is not his style, maybe Biden should." The fact is the president does call out companies that take actions that are not in the public interest. In recent speech he talked about the California health insurance company that raised premiums by 39% while earning 2.7 billion dollar last year. He didn't name them because he has to be careful what he says. Words have power and meaning. The christain right named an abortion doctor and a misguided person shot and killed him. So if Obama  had named the company he could have set off a riot, murder,assault or arson crimes against them. The administration plays good cop, bad cop. The cabinet secretaries are the heavies.

Sebelius Calls on Anthem Blue Cross to Publicly Justify 39 Percent Premium Increase
Sun, 07 Feb 2010 23:01:00 -0600U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today sent a letter to Anthem Blue Cross and called on the company to publicly justify its decision to raise premiums for its California customers by as much as 39 percent. In her letter, Sebelius notes that the parent company of Anthem Blue Cross, WellPoint Incorporated earned $2.7 billion in the last quarter of 2009.
More thatn 50 companies have been called out by the Defense, Transportaion, Education, Treasury and other secretaries since Obama was elected. Everything is in the public domain and available on government sites. Our problem with the media including Madison and other minority media leaders is that they don't fact check or practice investigative journalism. Recently the Democrats lost the super majority in the senate because a republican won in Massachusetts, one of the most democratic states in the country. Why? Because the national and local minority media keep repeating the mantras " Obama is not giving us jobs" " he gave all the money to wall street" "the bonuses" and on and on and on. Most of the criticism is not true, or based on facts. The Right wing republican media beat it to death, our media was in the same wagon. The base got discouraged, angry and turned off. Here's the proof. Senator Brown won by 106 thousand vote, the city of Boston over 500 thousand registered voters. The overwhelming majority are Democrats and minority, only 153 thousand voted.What Madison and others don't realize is that you support yours, your country, your team, your community, your family, your leaders because the oppositon will not. We can't win or advance unless we stick together. We are 13% of the population. The majority is playing a football game or a cake baking contest. We can not expect to win if we go to the game in shorts with a basketball or a pie.
